Thank You from The Animal Shelter
In early June, the future of The Animal Shelter looked bleak. We were in danger of closing due to all of our utilities being several months behind with no means to catch them up. Hope came in the form of a matching donation offer, The SOS Campaign, dubbed "Save Opal's Shelter" in honor of former Shelter resident Opal. This match became a challenge to the community - and the community responded in typical Alabama fashion! Our hearts are filled with gratitude.

New Fundraiser with Books-A-Million Bookfair!

On Friday, July 3, 2009 the Books-A-Million store in Oxford, Alabama is having a bookfair with a portion of all voucher sales to benefit The Animal Shelter.  Simply present a copy of the voucher (below) to your cashier before completing your purchase and the Shelter earns CASH!  The bookfair is from 4 - 9 p.m. at the Oxford location only!

The AmStar 12 theater at Quintard Mall in Oxford is celebrating the premiere of Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs with fun activities and booths from local groups - including The Animal Shelter!

 

Saturday, July 4th and Sunday, July 5th please look for our booth - we will have goodies and handouts and some adoptable kittens may also be making an appearance. Come visit! Then, enjoy the movie.
